I had to take my oldest which she is only three to have her 1st work up done so she wouldn't get kicked out of her pre- school. Well her appointment time was set for 12pm. Well it is now three O'clock and we are just getting back into a room to wait. They work so slow and tell you a lie everytime. I have been told three different times that they were shot handed. Three different dates, in three different months. I walked out on all of them. But because my kids love school so much I can't be the reason why she got kick out. So I sit here and wait,.. Mothers and fathers please beaware of this place. The worst part is when we 1st got here we had to sit on the nasty ground.
I took my 3 year old son in for his first dentist visit, and he was fine until we got to the back. The screaming children scared him, obviously, and because of his anxiety, he squirmed in the chair. Instead of taking a moment to try to calm him, they force held him down, while the doctor ignored my suggestions to call him by a nickname we used, calling my 3 year old, "sir."
My whimpered cried while drilled. Oh, I forgot to mention that they did give him 10 mg of valium to take, after I called in to request something to help with his anxiety after the first two visits. Unfortunately, we gave him the medication--as directed--one hour before the visit. After the two hour wait in the waiting room and the thirty minute wait in the chair as more children cried loudly around him, his anxiety has returned ten-fold.
I would never return with my child, and I recommend you think twice before carrying yours, especially since they will not allow parents back with their children as of August 1, 2008.
I was not happy with the cleaning, but I went back a second and third time because of two cavities in the back of his baby teeth. The third time was the kicker. The assistant, who rolled her eyes while my child cried as they drilled and struggled as they held him down, though a few minutes with me would have sufficiently calmed him had they allowed that, the assitant refused to give my son a token for a prize. She said he behaved badly because he cried while they drilled.
All the bad stuff written in the other reviews happened to us as well, but the 6 month cleaning of my daughters teeth with nothing but a regular tooth brush followed by the capping of the wrong tooth takes the cake. This practice should be shut down!
