If you plan on having a baby I would have it ANYWHERE besides this hospital! The labor and delivery part of this hospital could not of made what was suppose to be a wonderful experience worst. It was awful. I fell asleep in the hospital bed with my newborn and because that is not "by the book" instead of just talking to me about it they sent dfcs aka cps to my house to show me a video of safe sleeping for baby, I know I can't be the only mom who lets newborn sleep with me! It was very upsetting. Also anytime i ringed the nurse it always took them 10 to 15 mins or more to see me. This includes nursery. I don't feel like they properly cared in the cleaning off of my newborn either. They gave me tylonal for pain! I just had a baby and they prescribe me tylonal! Awful.
I was brought to this hospital by ambulance when I was having heart attack. The cardiac team was waiting when I arrived in the ER and took me immediately to the cath lab where excellent care was given by the doctor and entire team. I then spent two days in intensive care where I received care and compassion from the nurses as well as techs. The food was great and housekeeping kept the room very nice. Thank you!
I applied for a position, and got a call for an interview, then my interview was canceled because my reference check seemed like I did it myself? Who as a lot of email addresses, I have used skill-survey before with past jobs and never had a problem, I do not think they were being honest, yes I am over qualified, but I just needed something to do while attending school. I do not think that this was very professional and the location is mostly white so I am thinking that this may have been and issue. I had a white friend who worked here and she was one of my references, and someone who told me that they only have like 2 black people that work for the organization. That speaks for itself, I do not know why they tried to make an excuse to interview me, but hey this is the south
This hospital WILL NOT WORK WITH YOU!!!!!! I received my bill today after having my baby. I called them immediately . My insurance paid $13,000. I was left with 2,300. They said it must be paid in full in one year. I begged them, cried and pleaded for them to take $100 a month. That's all I can do right now as I have to pay anesthesia $120 a month plus all my normal bills. Even told them I'd start paying the other $120 once I have anesthesia paid off in 5 months. They refused and said they will send me to a debt collector. They have NO MERCY FOR HARD WORKING PEOPLE TRYING THEIR BEST TO PAY THEM BACK. I will never be back at this hospital. Furthermore, when I had my first child at the wonderful Coosa Valley Medical Center, they sent me home with tons of supplies and some pain medicine that I would need. This hospital sent me home with one small pack of pads. That's it. They also gave anesthesia the wrong address so that bill was almost sent to a debt collector because I never got it. Outraged and disappointed does not even begin to describe how I feel about this snooty facility.
They were very fast had me in and out within an hr. Very thoughal and kind.
